Most all of us have experienced THE PAIN OF WITHDRAWL. Some of us experienced it when our doctor told us our bad cholesterol was too high, and we had to adjust our diet and start taking some sort of statin drug, neither of which we wanted to do, and none of which we believed would increase our standard of livability. Maybe even a few of us found ourselves deep in drug or sex addiction and found relief and healing from specific counseling and maybe by finding spiritual renewal or connection. Whatever may have caused us to feel THE PAIN OF WITHDRAWL in the past, nearly all of us will soon feel another form of it in one way or another, not due to anything we have done, or as a result of our genetics or proclivity to vices, but due to evil inflictions brought to each of us by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
What has the CCP done to us? First, let us recognize that we have brought most of this on ourselves, as hard as this may be for us to hear. This was not done by the average citizen of this Country, but by those National leaders who have preceded us in the last several decades. More recently, it continued with the CCP receiving “Most Favored Nation” in 2000. This was followed by the CCP becoming part of the World Trade Organization. But before all of that, we could go back to a familiar statement, “Only Nixon could go to China”. We would never disparage efforts to embrace opportunities to establish friendly relations with any nation. What happened was that when corporate America saw billions of un-harvested customers, and the opportunity to make more profits for themselves and stockholders, the greed of financial gain over-powered nationalism and the drive and efforts which engendered our Founding Father’s desire to better their fellow man.
With our Nation’s tendency to give generously our technology and other advancements, raising the living standards of others, we have left ourselves open to abuse and in the process have enabled other nations to eat our “fish”, while not becoming dependent upon their own abilities to “fish for themselves”. Many of our past National leaders ignored the need for other nations to progress at their own rates, developing in their own way. Efforts were made by our Nation trying to “Americanize” other nations, even surreptitiously manipulating processes, offering our form of government to those unable and even unwilling to accept it. Our Nation’s patience in these efforts, allowing other nations to abuse our generosity, is proving genocidal. None of this is the fault of other nations or the Chinese people or even the CCP. They, along with many other nations, have only done what most would do to advance their conditions and standings. Unfortunately, this is often a sin found in all humans and nation states, taking advantage of the generosity and naivety of others.
Our Nation has left itself wide open to abuse and even attack. We ARE under attack by the CCP, and to deny it is to live in ignorance and disbelief. For years the CCP has stolen our IP (Intellectual Property), often offered freely by greedy corporations who considered this a small price to pay for cheap Chinese and Uyghur slave labor in turn for greater profit margins. The CCP has infiltrated our institutions and corporations in our homeland, learning our secrets and methods, all the while spreading their communistic ideologies. They have had spies too close to our Congress, like Representative Eric Swalwell’s girlfriend and Senator Dianne Feinstein’s driver. Do not get us started how our previous President and his family financially profited from the CCP. Even the previous Republican Leader of the Senate Mitch McConnel wife’s heritage with the Chinese helped them establish a lucrative shipping industry with China. The CCP has bought our acreage and businesses. They have invaded our hemisphere in their “Belt and Road” initiatives offering advancements to other nations making them financially dependent and subordinate. In 2019 they publicly declared a “Peoples War Against the United States” (cnn.com; May 14, 2019; Ben Westcott). They have built a navy larger than ours, and have alliances with North Korea, Iran, and even Russia. They aim to rival our nuclear arsenal, and projections have them accelerating their stockpiles at an ever-increasing rate (thebulletin.org; January 15, 2024; Hans M. Kristensen, Matt Korda, Eliana Johns, Mackenzie Knight). The CCP has manipulated their currency to their advantage and restricted imports from the United States. The CCP has conducted cyber-attacks on our infrastructures. The CCP has conducted kinetic warfare against us by flooding our Nation with poisonous fentanyl and other narcotics and opiates, killing thousands of our citizens. Finally, lest we forget, COVID-19, manufactured in Wuhan, China, was the biological weapon developed through “gain of function” and was thrust upon our Nation by China, killing millions of people around the world. We hate to say it, but we have “told you so” before in many of our previous blogs.
So, what does all of this have to do with THE PAIN OF WITHDRAWL? Tariffs have been center stage in our political processes over the last couple of weeks. There really is only one nation that needs to bear the brunt of these tariffs, and that is China and the CCP. For too many years we have been addicted to the goods provided to us by China. We have paid with our dollars for the economic and strategic growth of the CCP. We can blame big corporations and previous National leaders for getting us into our addiction, but we only have us to blame for consuming what they have brought to our shores. Our Nation makes very few items we purchase. We have become dependent upon other nation’s for feeding our consumption addiction. We have been held hostage to these other nations, in particular to China and the CCP, and we pay the ransom daily as we buy their stuff that floods our homes and businesses made outside our Nation.
Consider this analogy. There is a cancer that has inflicted our Nation. Like a cancer that afflicts the physical body of many of our citizens, a form of radiation may be used to reduce the size of the cancerous tumor. Once it has shrunk to an operable size, a surgeon can go in and cut it out. For many, different forms of chemotherapy will be used to insure any remaining cancerous cells are eradicated, and this can go on for months. Similarly, the cancerous addiction to stuff from China needs to be treated. Slowly reducing the size of the infection from China is the first step. Once it has been reduced as much as possible, the cancerous influence from China needs to be completely cut out. This is called “disengagement” from China. This is a painful process and can take months to recover from the operation. Other processes may need to be instituted following this operation to ensure the cancerous addiction will not return. Safeguards will need to be installed to ensure this cancerous addiction will never return. Like breaking free of any addiction, there will be THE PAIN OF WITHDRAWL.
We addressed the issue of our addiction with China in our blog dated December 4, 2022, titled, “THE UNITED STATES OF CHINA – In the Age of Possession Addiction”. We challenge all of you to avoid buying anything made in China . . . if you can find something. Next time you go shopping for clothes, or shoes, or tools, or any household goods, we challenge you to look for the label and see where it is made. Only then will you become truly aware of our cancerous addiction. Our Nation’s FREEDOM and LIBERTY are at stake. We need to break free of our addiction to China and the CCP. Yes, there will be THE PAIN OF WITHDRAWL, but in the long run, we will be cured of our cancerous addiction and will be once again the envy of every other nation on the face of the earth, and we will once again be that “shinning city on a hill” that will draw all nations to it, not to become us, but to enjoy the benefits of the rule of law, morality of character, and to express the thanksgiving to our Creator who made all of this possible.
